Gatewaypundit: Aqsa Parvez often argued with her father about the hijab and her desire to follow Western fashion trends. Aqsa would leave home in traditional dress and then change as soon as she arrived at school. This didn't go over well with her family.


16 year-old Aqsa Parvez was strangled to death by her father and brother for not wearing the hijab. This week Aqsa's brother was charged with murder for strangling his little sister.The Globe and Mail and Religion of Peace reported...


The brother of a Mississauga, Ont., teenager who was strangled to death in her home has been charged with first-degree murder.Aqsa Parvez was 16 when she was strangled to death in December 2007 during what friends said was a family dispute over her reluctance to wear a hijab.Her father, 57-year-old Muhammed Parvez, was charged with first-degree murder soon after his arrest that month.Her brother Waqas Parvez, 27, was charged with first-degree murder as well following his arrest on Thursday...A Peel police spokeswoman says investigators think they have the two primary suspects but believe there may be others who witnessed or have knowledge of the crime.


Aqsa's 57-year-old father, Muhammad Parvez, was already charged with murder. Aqsa’s 26-year-old brother, Waqas Parvez, was earlier charged with obstructing police. Yesterday he was also charged with murder. They may have been others involved in the killing.
