Extract: "I propose the following amendments be made to the Rome Statute in order to enable the Court to prosecute those who willfully destroy world historical and cultural heritage.
"Examples of such crimes are the destruction of the statue of Buda and numerous historical artifacts by the Taliban in Afghanistan; and the ongoing destruction of Pasargad historical site in Iran and the tomb of Cyrus the Great, a world cultural heritage." >>>>

How retarded can the Iranian regime be!? This is ancient history! I hope someone steps in and preserves it somehow.

I have another Picture Title contest on my blog if you wish to participate.

Sherry: As you know, the IR has always been afraid of the pre-Islamic culture of Iranians which is much longer (4700/6000 years) than the Islamic culture (1300/6000 years). So, of course, they would target the very symbol of that long culture.

Thanks for the alert. I'll be over soon.
