Farsi Christian News Network (FCNN): " An Iranian Christian was arrested by the IR's "security forces for carrying a bible and a dvd of "Christ's life" in his car. He was taken to jail and released after 2 days of torture and beatings. He was punished and charged for being a "mortad" (Heretic).

He probably got lashes for drinking wine which is forbidden in Iran. He is lucky he didn't eat bread with his wine. there was one guy who got crucified after drinking wine, and bread(some 2 thousand years ago)!!LOL
With this "joke" you just proved to be on the same level with the torturers.
Attempts to distract from the truth of the message is common among those who enable barbarians to carry out brutality in the name of some God. Such enablers are as guilty as those who carry out the brutality.
panthea: That was a light joke and not for hurting anyone's feelings. what else can I say in the face of such barbarity? condemning dosn't work anymore, nor feeling hatred. The world sits back as these thugs and criminals do as they want in Iran and no one knows what the law is, and all we can do is to feel anger and burn inside.
I just read the farsi link to this news. I says he got arrested becuase he had "converted" to Christianity. He could have been executed for this. they dont' torture born Christians for carrying bibles. (although they oppress them in many other ways which is sometimes worse than being flogged and tortured)
anonymous: now that you explained it, I understand what you mean, still, in this context, I find the joke most inappropriate. Otherwise I wouldn't care.
