Serendip! It's absolutely mind-blowing! I honestly thought a roadrunner is just a cartoon character! Why did I think that? Is there a Tazmanian Devil, too? And I'm asking that with a straight face, I really demand to know. What a quirky looking bird! Actually it looks sort of like the cartoon character now that I think about it! Thanks so much for sharing this with me my friend. And there is lots of them all around you? That's fabulous. Thanks Serendip.
Nazy Jan: These birds are amazing. They have the most unusual walk/run. I've never been able to get close to one. They almost run with the speed light.
The Tasmanian Devil (Sarcophilus harrisii), also referred to simply as 'the devil', is a carnivorous marsupial now found in the wild only in the Australian island state of Tasmania. The Tasmanian Devil is the only extant member of the genus Sarcophilus.
It even looks a lot like the cartoon critter, doesn't it?
O.K. I have seen it now Pro Craig! He looks scary and weird (and I won't explain why I think that), nothing like the loveable Taz that I know! This has been a day full of surprises after all. Glad to meet the Roadrunner, and not so glad about the Tasmanian Devil. I'm afraid my life will never be the same as it was after today! Be good Serendip and Pro Craig.

That's a very good picture for a fast moving bird. Good detail.
Sorry for butting in, but Nazy mentioned one of my favorite critters!

Yes, absolutely!

Well, I admit he's not that cute :(
But he's got character, Nazy! And can you think of a better nemesis for a rabbit (Bugs Bunny)?
