Ahmadinejad: "We don't have homosexuality in Iran"

Roger L. Simon: “Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made one of the most insane and reactionary statements I have heard a national leader say in public ever at Columbia today: ‘In Iran we don’t have homosexuals like in your country. We don’t have that in our country. In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don’t know who has told you that we have it.’”

More outrageous claims by Ahmadinejad:

"But as for women, maybe you think that maybe being a woman is a crime. It’s not a crime to be a woman. Women are the best creatures created by God. They represent the kindness, the beauty that God instills in them. Women are respected in Iran.”

This man thinks people are stupid.

It brought lots of laughter. Everyone knows better. The University President did a better job than any reporter in trying to pin down Ahmadinejad on his vague statements.

It is a political loss for Ahmadinejad!

Ahmadinejad thinks people are stupid, all right. The response to his speech proves that, about this, he is right.

Miriam: Iran is gay-free because they are killed. He is a pathological and habitual liar. That's what he excels in the most.

The sad thing is some students at Columbia apparently were applauding for some of his answers. In my days you had to be clever to get to university.
