Warning to my Trukish Readers

It appears that I have many readers from Turkey who are reading my post on Iran before and after 1979 bloody revolution, which plunged Iran and the Iranians into a Medieval age of shocking violence and brutality against women and men. Here are some old newspaper clippings where Ayatollah Khomeini lied and deceived the nation into accepting the Islamic form of government.

Note that Khomeini only said that the Hejab in Iran will not be mandatory after millions of secular women took to the streets in 1980 and demonstrated against the new Islamic decree of Khomeini.
Khomeini in an attempt to calm the unrest, lied to women and announced a few days later that "Hejab will not be compulsory or Mandatory".
Then in another newspaper clipping, Khomeini declares that he is not interested in "governing" and becoming a "political Leader".
In the third newspaper clipping, Khomeini says, "In Islam there is no dictatorship". Keep in mind that Khomeini and his Islamic party had not yet usurped the power. For all intents and purposes, Khomeini was lying to Iranians to exploit religious feeling and build more consensus among different groups in order to fool them into accepting Islamic form of government, which had nothing to do with what Iranians perceived to be as Islam for they have lived in a secular society.

The consequences of these bold lies were that even the secular/liberal political parties decided to make an alliance with Khomeini in the spirit of cooperation to move the country forward. But as we all know, the rest is history. The next two years immediately after ousting the Shah, the secular Iranians increasingly found themselves in a terrible pit the mullahs were digging for all the democratic movement of the masses. All those who wanted to keep, and extend, the democratic gains did not foresee the gathering dark clouds of intolerant Islam and the thugs of the Islamic Republic Party. By the middle of 1981 the left/liberal/progressives had all but been eliminated from the political scene. Tens of thousands of secular/left/liberal/progressive were executed and hundreds of thousands spent years behind bars.

Please learn the lessons of the Iranian revolution and don't fall for the lies of the Islamist parties. These lessons have implications in today's unfolding events in Turkey. Do not let the Islamists drown your country into the vile swamp of intolerance, macabre, hate and self-destruction.

Don't give up the fight against the Islamists.

Mainstream Media & Islamists

Mainstream Media & Islamists
Exclusive: The Mainstream Media: Islamist Facilitators

Via: Plateau:

I believe that Islam cannot be reformed, at least not easily. In order to reform Islam, one must alter the basis for its belief system and ideology, which include the Koran and Hadiths, as well as the character and deeds of its Prophet (who was radical, activist, political and violent, especially, after he moved to Medina). Since the common conviction, both among radicals and so-called moderates, is that one cannot go against the word of God or Allah as written in the Koran, I simply do not see how Islam can become a purely spiritual religion – historically and since its inception, Islam has always been associated with politics & violence.

To be fair, I also note some Muslims declaring that the application of what is written in the Koran (which is codified, for the lack of a better term) is very much a matter of interpretation by qualified Muslim theologians. However, I do believe that Political Islam can be & should be reduced in influence and stature. It is only in this context that, perhaps, one can speak of ‘moderate’ versus ‘radical’ Muslims. For the sake of clarification, I define those Muslims who want to see State & Religion separated, do not wish to impose Sharia or Islamic laws upon societies and those who prefer to practice their faith privately and quietly, similar to any other religion, as “Moderate” Muslims.

On the other hand, those hell bent on enforcing Sharia law, who believe in ‘offensive’ Jihad, take a hostile approach, even surreptitiously, and believe in all aspects of Political Islam are “Radical” Muslims or Islamists.Although Islam's transformation must be initiated by Muslims and their theologian, we in the West can either reinforce & give voice to “moderate” OR “radical” Islam through our efforts.

A significant and powerful contributor in this instance is the Mainstream Media. Finally, a note on Islamic Republic: Firstly, I choose not to refer to Islamic Republic as "Islamic Republic of Iran" because it is a misnomer - the Government does not represent the People and elections as previously mentioned here are a sham. Secondly, I reiterate that the Reformists camp in Iran, apart from superficial liberties that they would like to give to the people in order to mollify the populace, are part & parcel of IR structure & regime. Their efforts, regardless of Ahmadinejad, will only prolong the existence of the regime, not topple it.

These reformists in Iran are unlike Gorbechev of USSR. The main difference between the reformists and hardliners in IR is their approach, not the core ideology. I consider any faction within IR as Islamist & Radical, unless and until they, in substance, clearly prove otherwise.

Here is an extract of the above article:

"In this riveting, damning exposé by FSM Contributing Editor M. Zuhdi Jasser, the mainstream media is identified as one of the most significant reasons why moderate Muslim voices are utterly silenced in America. You won’t want to take this outrage sitting down!

The PBS censorship of Islam vs. Islamists highlights one of the major obstacles to hearing the Moderate Muslim Voice."
