Conspiracy or Karma???
Iraq the Model: Is Iran’s honeymoon in Iraq over?
Iraq the Model is explaining how Iran’s plans for Iraq are falling apart, especially on the political level–a good thing, but also one that probably means we’ll see an increase in activity from the militias sponsored by Iran. Hopefully our troops will stay on top of it. There are signs that victory is slipping away from the clerical fascists in Tehran:
All in all, things are not going the way [Ayatollah Khamenei] or President Ahmadinejad] were dreaming of just a few months ago. Overall the course of events recently in Iraq indicates the beginning of a severe fall for Iran’s stocks in Iraq.
Irans refinaries were wiped during Iraq/Iran war in the 80's. Iran chose weapons instead of investing in new oil technologies and building refinaries. So, they have to import 40% of the gasoline and jetfuel ($10billion plus per year) from the world market. Apparently, they now don't have the money to buy it, because they just imposed gasoline rationing on their population, upseting many.
While Iran's Mighty Mouse keeps saying they will become a nuclear power, they have failed to pay the Russians and all of the Russian workers have left Bushehr (nuclear facility) and so work is now stopped on their first nuclear reactor. Or perhaps, they're no longer interested in finishing it anyway since they know they're going to be bombed at some point eventually.
When you put all these pieces toghether with UN sanctions, funding Hezballah twice before and after the Israeli action, building mosques in Afghanistan, spending money in Syria to convert Suunis into Shi'ites, and the cost of Iranian-backed operations/militia in Iraq; Does anyone see a conspiracy to bankrupt Iran just as happened to the Soviets in the cold war??? OR is it Karma?

Iran is isolating itself even further and soon that regime will breakdown. May the people be free!
...and they say it's not a military thing?
'Tis both.
Dear Alireza: Happy No Rooz to you too. Thank you for visiting my blog. Come again.
Rosemary: I think so too.
Sherry: I don't think Iran can get any more isolated than they already are. Even the Sunni/muslims are beginning to see right through them.
JM: Thank you. Stay cool. It's overcast here today...a bit of relief from the dry heat that makes your skin look like a lizard's skin...LOL
