wow! that is the church where I was Christened. It is the first church build in Iran 400 years ago. Most of tile work has done by artist educated in Venice. It has a great Museum inside. From the outside, the Church has resemblance to Mosques (notice the Dome), it was a requirement for building the church by Iranian King, Shah Abbas who brought Armenians to Isfahan around 1600's. Unfortunately, Armenians are leaving Iran for America. There used to be about 200,000 Armenians in Iran and now they are probably not more than 50,000. Thank you for this post. Brought back memories!

Beautiful pictures of the Church! It's heart warming. Good job Serendip and God Bless you!
The Church is beautiful. I pray the people who are brave enough to cross it's doorway live as a good Christian. I shall pray for with them.
OT: I thought you might get a laugh (or a cry) out of this: Syrian Minister: The US and Israel Are Responsible for the London Bombings. It's over at Little Green Footballs (LGF). Have a great day.
