All the Mahmoud's Sailors!
Nahid Keshavarz and Mahboubeh Hossein Zadeh along with the other three arrested individuals were taken to the Revolutionary Courts early today. During their interrogations, these two women's rights defenders were asked to sign a statement agreeing to end their activities in the Campaign and on behalf of women. When they refused to do so, the two women were charged with actions against national security and transferred to Evin Prison.
Nahid Keshavarz is a member of the Women's Cultural Center and provides regular news reports and articles for the website of this leading women's NGO http://www.herlandmag.info/ and the site of the Campaign weforchange.net. Nahid is a sociologist and also a regular contributor to other leading publications. Mahboubeh Hossein-Zadeh is a member of the Iran CSOs Training and Research Center koneshgaran.net, which was recently shut down by Security Forces. She served as a journalist for the website of this leading NGO engaged in capacity building for civil society. She has been a journalist with reformist dailies for 7 years. Both Nahid and Mahboubeh are members of the media committee of the Campaign, which is charged with information sharing and reporting of developments in the Campaign.
An Iranian blogger, based in UK, asks why the Magnanimous and Merciful Mahmoud does not show any compassion to the two female activists (and I'm adding this: multitude of others languishing in Islamic Republic's dungeons) who were just transferred to the criminal wing of the infamous Evin Prison? He is also pondering if the two Iranian female activists were blonds, would the compassion been forthcoming from The Luminous and Mercurial King Mahmoud!!! Just look at the the picture below:

Very good question? Why not release them? This photomakes me ill.
JM: They're all pervs!
I was talking to someone in Iran just last night and he said that many in Iran realize that the whole charade was pre-organized (15 sailors/marines)& became more apparent he said when they unleashed their crowd in front of the British embassy to throw stones.
IR was always going to release navy personnel. I don't think Ahmadinejad has fooled many Iranians inside Iran.
The problem is western press either knowingly or otherwise promotes this type of propaganda.
Those Iranian women in Iran are actual threads to IR, whereas the British sailors never were... When was the last time IR tortured a foreign female in Iran? But, remember Zahra Kazemi AND she was a Canadian citizen, but Iranian born! I'd say more than double standards.
perhaps the Royal Marine pussy cats should learn from Iranian women not to give in to tyranny so easily. Excellent post Serendip.
