Iran: Tomb of Daniel the Prophet in city of Shoush, Iran

Christians regard Daniel as a prophet, and Jesus is quoted as referring to him as "Daniel the prophet" in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14. It appears he is also referred to as "Daniel the prophet" in the Dead Sea Scrolls [1]. In the context of the books of the Bible, Christians refer to Daniel as one of the "four great prophets"; as the Book of Daniel appears in most Christian editions of the Bible, after the other three "great prophets" (Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel). Dreams and visions and revelations are known to be prophesy in the Bible, as Joel 2:28 to 32 expands.

Beautiful place! I'm curious Serendip, have you ever been to this tomb yourself?

I really admire Daniel. He was a man of good character and faith. He did not compromise, even under the threat of death. He truly loves and trusts God. Thank you for showing us this. God bless you.

I must say , I have been thinking a lot about Daniel lately! Keep on doing right even when it is difficult. If he were living today, he would probably be blogging about His Lord even when the rulers did not condone it!

I'm Back! Great post! Love those pics. Daniel was one of the greatest prophets next to Moses, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah.
