The Iranian regime, like all fanatical Islamists, are primarily motivated by a fear of female sexuality. Controlling women is the alpha and omega of Khomeini's brand of Islamism in particular. Yet the "bad hijab" campaign cannot cover up some bald realities. One is that, according to some residents at least, Tehran is experiencing rising levels of serious crime in which skimpy scarves do not remotely figure. Another is the government's failure to effectively tackle more damaging social problems such as unemployment, inflation, drug addiction, poverty, prostitution, and corruption.
The hijab huffing and puffing also illustrates, at a very basic level, the authorities' obsession with control - and the sense that, for all their secret policemen and all their rules and regulations, control is nevertheless lacking. This insecurity was plainly on view in Revolution Square where demonstrators claimed those who bent the dress codes "sold out" to the west.
The hijab campaign reflects a deep-rooted official paranoia. And thus is state-sanctioned harassment merely part of the bigger battle for Iran's future.

First let me ask, Are all Persian women so beautiful? Every picture i see, they all seem to have such a natural beauty.
Second, I find it ironic how the world over, some men are so insecure as to fear women!
JM: I think Iran had been a melting pot over 2500 years ago and I think that has a lot do with the exotic women it has produced.
However, Persians only make up 50%of the ethnic population in Iran. The rest are Gilaki(mostly blue eyes and blond hair and lighter complexion), Turkman (beautiful women), Kurdish, Turkish(azarbijani or from Baku, Russia), Gorganis from central Asia(they look oriental but much prettier)and so on.
However, I think the most beautiful women are Afghani (Greeks had occupied it for long a time) and Israeli women because of their genetic diversity.
Interesting. Venezuela has beautiful women as well. Venezuela has won more Miss World and Miss Universe titles than any other one country, I have been told. They call it , "living in a world of MISS'!"
I have assumed it was for the same genetic diversity, but of course with Amerindian, the Spanish, Portuguese, even African slaves have left their genetic marks.
Woe, to be a poor common white anglo here!! Lol!
