Iranian Parliament Bans The Al-Jazeera Network


The Islamic Repulic banned Al-Jazeera from their Parliament after allegations that one of the hosts on the network insulted the Iraqi Shia cleric Grand Aytollah Ali Sistani:"Iran has banned Al-Jazeera from its parliament, saying one of its talkshows had insulted the most revered Shia cleric in Iraq.Gholam Ali Hadad Adel, the parliament's speaker, said: "Parliament has decided to prevent Al Jazeera journalists from entering until this network makes a formal apology for insulting Iranian-born [Grand] Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani."Iran said questions from the host of the "Without Borders" programme had questioned the legitimacy of Sistani's leadership in Iraq.

There's nothing even remotely related to freedom of speech in Iran,is there? Those here who think this country is evil should be sent over there for awhile so they can get a real taste of what evil really is!
