Welcome to NY

Ahmadinejad is "a petty and cruel dictator."--Columbia University President, Lee Bollinger

Bollinger's speech gets a an A

NEW YORK - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took the stage at Columbia University on Monday to a blistering reception from the president of the school, who said the hard-line leader behaved like "a petty and cruel dictator."

Ahmadinejad smiled as Columbia President Lee Bollinger took him to task over Iran's human-rights record and foreign policy, and Ahmadinejad's statements denying the Holocaust and calling for the disappearance of Israel.
"Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator," Bollinger said, to loud applause.
He said Ahmadinejad's denial of the Holocaust might fool the illiterate and ignorant.
"When you come to a place like this it makes you simply ridiculous," Bollinger said. "The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history."
Ahmadinejad rose, also to applause, and after a religious invocation, said Bollinger's opening was: "an insult to information and the knowledge of the audience here."
"There were insults and claims that were incorrect, regretfully," Ahmadinejad said, accusing Bollinger of falling under the influence of the hostile U.S. press and politicians.
"I should not begin by being affected by this unfriendly treatment," he said.
During a question and answer session with the audience, Ahmadinejad appeared agitated. In response to one question, Ahmadinejad denied he was questioning the existence of the Holocaust.

"Granted this happened, what does it have to do with the Palestian people?" he said.
But then he said he was defending the rights of European scholars, an apparent reference to a small number who have been prosecuted under national laws for denying or minimizing the Holocaust.

"There's nothing known as absolute," he said.

During his prepared remarks, the Iranian president did not address Bollinger's accusations directly, instead launching into a long religious discursion laced with quotes with the Quran before turning to criticism of the Bush administration and past American governments, from warrantless wiretapping to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki...

This is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Genocide Advocate Iran Joins Cuba & Libya on UN's Anti-Racism Panel

How could this be happening???? Didn't Ahamdinejad host that hate-fest anti-Holocaust conference with his special guest, neo-Nazi David Duke last year????

The Iranian mullahs spent millions of dollars last year in an attempt to cast doubt on the reality of the undeniable horrors of the holocaust. This year, Iran will oversee preparations for a conference on anti-racism. This is going dangerously beyond parody.

The world’s most notorious state promoter of anti-semitism is given a seat on the UN committee planning a 2009 UN anti-racism conference, a country which is also rife with other kinds of racism against other groups such as Bahais, Afghans, Christians, Sunni Arabs, Baluchi, Kurds. None of these minority groups are eligible to work for the Islamic Republic government because of their faith or ethnicity.

There are Mullahs in Iran who still warn the non-Muslims that they should not leave their homes while it is raining, as drops of rain might roll of their Najess-(filthy) bodies and land on a Muslim!

Just when I think nothing can outrage me anymore....The UN should let the KKK and David Duke run the anti-racism conference while they are at it.

Disturbing Trends in Academia!

The Telegraph reports:

A leading university has been accused of "selling out" academic freedom of speech by scrapping a talk on links between the Nazis and Islamic anti-semitism after allegedly receiving emails from Muslims protesting about the event.

Matthias Küntzel, a German author and political scientist who specialises in the threat of Islamic fundamentalism, was told yesterday by the University of Leeds that a talk scheduled for yesterday evening, and a two-day workshop, on Hitler's Legacy: Islamic Anti-semitism in the Middle East, had been cancelled because of security fears.

In a statement yesterday, two academics in the Leeds German department, which had organised the event, claimed the university had bowed "to Muslim protests". Dr Küntzel said he had given similar addresses around the world and there had been no problems.

He added: "I was told it was for security reasons - that they cannot shelter my person. But I don't feel in any way threatened.

''I know this is sometimes a controversial topic but I am accustomed to that and I have the ability to calm people down. It's not a problem for me at all.

"My impression was that they wanted to avoid the issue in order to keep the situation calm. My feeling is that this is a kind of censorship.''

He has given the talk at Yale and in universities in Jerusalem and Vienna.

Dr Küntzel said the contents of emails described to him did not overtly threaten violence but "they were very, very strongly worded''.

He added: ''It's stupid, because I also talk about Christian anti-semitism.''

Since When Freedom of speech has become controversial in Western democratic societies?
How much bullying are we going to take from the Islamists and accommodate their Sharia laws over our own?

The Paper which would have been delivered is titled "Hitler's Legacy: Islamic Anti-semitism in the Middle East". (Click here for the PDF File)
