Hard to Watch!

Iranian.com :Clip shows woman in Tehran refusing to get into a police car during the current campaign against women who don't observe strict Islamic dress codes. Thousands of Iranian women have been cautioned over their poor Islamic dress this week and several hundred arrested in the capital Tehran in the most fierce crackdown on what's known as "bad hijab" for more than a decade >>> BBC

@$%!&! and GRRRRRR!

Those poor women! And the men can dress any way they choose. The women's rights groups in this country are condemning themselves with their silence against such injustice. They prove to me that they only care about themselves, their so-called rights to do what they want when they want regardless of the consequences and to hell with everyone else.

This gave me chills up my spine! Oh how thankful I am to live in freedom and may I never take it for granted! Thanks for the perspective.

Animals and goons, feeling oh-so-powerful treating a human being with such indignity and savage force! They must be so proud of themselves. I wonder, though, whether their own mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters would be so proud to watch this atrocious behavior. Serendip, you know that this and worse than this have been happening for the past decades in Iran. I am grateful for technology to now make it easier for everyone else to see. What each responsible citizen of this world does after seeing these scenes is a different story. It was heart-wrenching but necessary to watch it. My 17-year-old son was sickened by it. He told me to stop the video clip because he couldn't hack it. He, I should like you to know, spent 14 years in Iran until last year, living this nightmare on a daily basis. It is deplorable, even a young adult like him knows it, too. Thanks for sharing Serendip. Be good.

Thanks everyone for your comments. This is nothing compared to horrific stories we have been hearing over the years..women being kidnapped and blindfolded in broad day light and taken to secret prisons and interrogated and then dropped off in the middle of nowhere...tapes of brutal torture heard in the background while being interrogated and so many awful stories...
