Kayhan Editor Close To Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei: 'America and Its European Supporters Must Know... That the Price of Supporting [Israel] Will Cost Them the Property and Lives of Their Citizens... If the Heads of Some Islamic States Prevent the Muslim Peoples from Attacking the Zionists... They Can Be Toppled'
In a January 26 op-ed in the Iranian daily Kayhan, the paper's editor, Hossein Shariatmadari, who is close to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, called on Muslims to unite in a retaliatory attack on American, European, and Israeli "sensitive centers" because of "the war crimes that these countries are committing in the Gaza Strip" and because of their support for Israel...
In his op-ed, Shar'iatmadari stressed that American and European civilians must be harmed in these attacks, so as to make the U.S. and the European countries change their policy towards Israel. He further called for harming Israelis worldwide, and explained that Islamic regimes that prevent an Islamic attack on Israel must be toppled, because
they are defending the enemy.
Following are excerpts from Sharatmadari's op-ed, which was titled "The Defenders of the Enemy": [1]
"The slaughter being carried out by the Zionists in Gaza - which includes the mass murder of Palestinian men, women, and children, cutting off the electricity, water, and fuel, stopping the supply of medicines and food products - along with various other savage crimes, is disgraceful for the Zionists, and for America and its European allies.
"However, it is even more embarrassing and disgraceful for, first and foremost, the heads of several Islamic countries, [including] Egypt, that is insisting on adhering to the abject Camp David Accords and closing the Rafah border crossing [to the Palestinians]; for the cowardly and characterless rulers of Bahrain and the U.A.E., who awarded a prize to the murderer [i.e. President Bush] of the oppressed Palestinian people during his recent trip to the region; and for the Saudi [royal] family, that bears the appellation 'Custodian of the Two Holy Places' but is indifferent to the crimes and violations of the infidel Zionists in the Muslim holy places, and so on.
"But aren't most of the sensitive centers of the Zionists, of the Americans, and of some European states that support Israel already situated within the arms' reach of the Muslims? And aren't the Zionists [vulnerable] and located within arms' reach of the Muslims at the four corners of the earth? What human and legal basis can prevent an attack on these centers and people? Why must the savage, blood-letting Zionists and Americans be permitted to choose the field of battle as they wish? [Why are they permitted] to besiege the oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters and their children, on the land that belongs to that helpless people, and to shoot at them night and day and to massacre them?
"America and its European and Zionist supporters must know that their support for Israel's crimes will cost them very dearly. Once they discern that this support will cost them the property and lives of their citizens, they will doubtless reconsider their support for the savage Zionists... And didn't the Imam [Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini] instruct that if every Muslim pours out one bucket of water, there will be a flood that will sweep away Israel, and destroy it?
"Every time a movement rises up against the Zionist occupier and acts to liberate its homeland, America and its allies accuse it of terrorism, and every state that supports these movements is punished. Why wouldn’t the Muslims act the same way, and attack all the supporters of the Zionists everywhere in the world?
"There is a legal view valid in both the Shi'ite and the Sunni school that it is permissible to attack anyone whom the enemy uses as a shield in the war against the enemies of Islam. Therefore, if some heads of Islamic states prevent the Muslim peoples from attacking the Zionists - thus constituting a shield that prevents support to the persecuted people of that region - it permissible to topple these defenders of the enemy."

Examples of laws prove what Sharia actually is. Here is one from Law #344 of Codified Islamic Law Vol 1 – “Witness for a husband is not a condition to divorce his wife”. This law violates Sura Twalak verse 2 of the Qur’an that instructs to keep two witnesses of divorce. Another example is Law #914 C from Codified Islamic Law Vol 3 - Head of Islamic State cannot be charged for Hudood cases (murder, theft, robbery, adultery, drinking etc.). The same law is in Hanafi Law page 188 too. As a Muslim how can I not protest this is violation of justice? Can you imagine more than three thousand raped women were in prison for “illicit sex” for ten to fifteen years by Pakistan’s Hudood (Sharia) Ordinance #7 of 1979 amended by Law #20 of 1980 that says proof of adultery and (emphasis mine) rape is confession of the accused or eye-witness of four male adult Muslims (the women could not prove rapes by this “proof”)?
Can you imagine an Iranian woman appealing to the Sharia court to order her husband to beat her not everyday but once a week? Can you imagine many minor raped girls are publicly beaten by shoes and whips in Bangladesh by decree of informal Sharia Courts? Can you imagine hundreds of such cruelty is regularly reported in Muslim world but not a single of the world’s top Sharia-Bolsheviks is known to protest effectively? It is shocking to see tons of such unjust laws established as Allah’s Law. It is shocking to see most of Sharia-supporters never read the laws and most of Sharia-leaders speak and write of justice but never show the laws. There was never any empirical study on the impact of Sharia on non-Muslims and Muslim women (more than half of world-Muslims), nor were they consulted to frame these laws. There is not a single female Sharia-Imam in Muslim history.
The result was predictable. Sharia emerged not as a benign law book but malignant inspiration of creating a global Islami State which is diametrically opposite to the Islamic faith system. The West must realize any Sharia-supporter not only has to believe in a global Islamic state but also try for it. Supported by powerful, resourceful and cunning players it conquered most of Muslim-majority countries and now poses the deadliest cultural threat human civilization ever faced. The now defunct Canadian Sharia Court was its pinnacle of success in West. How many Americans know that the blueprint of American Sharia Court was created as early as in 1991by TAM (The American Muslims)?

The spread of Islam, both inside and outside the United States of America was aided by American Christians. American Christians refused to carry out the duties imposed upon them by the Bible. Feeding the sick, healing the ill and aiding those in poverty was not done by the Church and became the duty of the United States Government beginning in 1960s. These social programs filled the gap left by Christian churches who refused to do God's work.
When the Christian right took over the government, these programs were slashed. Even with Faith-based Chrity dollars provided by the U.S. government the Christian Churches are still not doing the work God commanded them to do. Poverty in America is increasing. Older Americans are being bankrupted by predatory health care. The Medicare perscription drug program forced American citizens with health insurance that paid 80 percent of their perscriptions to downgrade to the Medicare perscription drug plan, leaving them to pay 100 percent of the cost of perscription drugs over 2,400 (easily acheived with a couple inpatient stays in a hospital) combined with the staggering increase in the cost of drugs.
As Christian missionary work failed in the Middle East, nation's like Lebanon, 70 percent Christian in 1970s became Islamic because the Islamic leaders were providing social services. As more Americans decend into poverty in the United States, more American's are converting to Islam. The Christian Church has done more to spread Islam than any other agency or government. The Christian church has turned the truth of God into a lie. They have wasted billions of dollars on hot-button political movements while neglecting the duties imposed upon the Church by God. They have sold hate and exclusivity instead of love and inclusivity. The Christian Church represents the greatest threat to democracy in the world and continues to empower Islamic movements. The Christian Church looks more and more every day like an abomination.
There are serious political debates on countering the threats that may derive from radical Islam. The underlying phenomena, such as the rise of radical Islam and international terrorism, had manifested themselves in various parts of the world for several decades prior to 9/11 attacks in 2001. Avid, a think-tank from Netherlands has published a paper and has identified two main types of radical Islam, both militant and non-violent. This paper starts from the premise that radical Islam is a multiform phenomenon. Radical Islam consists of many movements and groups that, although related (in particular concerning faith and anti-Western sentiments), may harbour very different views on aims and means. This means that various kinds of threats can emanate from radical Islam, one of which is terrorism. In addition to radical Islamic organisations and networks which concentrate on the Jihad (in the sense of armed combat) against the West, there are other groups, which principally focus on 'Dawa' (the propagation of the radical-Islamic ideology), while some groups and networks combine both.
The Dawa-oriented forms of radical Islam are not necessarily violent by nature, but nevertheless they generate important security risks. Dawa is usually interpreted as 're-Islamisation' of Muslim minorities in the West. These minorities are seen as 'oppressed brothers' who should be liberated from the 'yoke of Western brainwashing'. The groups focusing on Dawa follow a long-term strategy of continuous influencing based on extreme puritanical, intolerant and anti-Western ideas. They want Muslims in the West to reject Western values and standards, propagating extreme isolation from Western society and often intolerance towards other groups in society. They also encourage these Muslims to (covertly) develop parallel structures in society and to take the law into their own hands. What they mean is that Muslims the West should turn their backs on the non-Islamic government and instead set up their own autonomous power structures based on specific interpretation of the Sharia.

The Journal of Islamic Governance is published by the Council of Experts, the body which assigns and monitor the Supreme Leader. In its last issue, Islamic Governance carried a very long article titled “The Islamic Bases of Suicide Missions [not exact translation]”. In the article, the author reviews the related Islamic literature, for both Shias and Sunnis, and concludes “According to the available evidence, we can definitely talk about the legitimacy of suicide missions and even go further and point out its importance and value”. The article is packed with sentences about the “importance” of suicide missions, such as “No doubt, one of the reasons for the fast progress of Islam in reaching its goals and … defeating strong castles in different regions in less than half a century [the early days of Islam] is the martyr-seeking attitude in it”. The article concludes with answering the question “What if civilians are killed in a suicide mission?” by referring to a Hadith [sentences of the holy figures of Islam] which says “Priests who have an opinion and are effective in the war…must be killed”.

از خوی حیوانی و ترس از آینده ناشناخته است که هر کسی را که دستگیر میکنند ابتدا از اعدام ، وابستگی و جاسوسی و انقلاب مخملی و ... سخن میرانند و پس از مدتها شکنجه جسمی و روانی به زندان اکتفا میکنند. از آنجا که اکثر قریب به اتفاق ملایان و مزدوران جیره خوار بنا به سنت صیغه و سایر کثافتکاریهای فقهی حتی نام پدر واقعی خود را نمیدانند و فرزندان حرامی هستند ، از توهین و بی آبرو کردن و پائین آوردن شخصیت افراد جامعه نیز ابائی ندارند و همیشه سعی دارند با هر کلامی یا عملی نسبت به هتک آبرو و شخصیت فردی افراد عادی ، برتری دروغین خود را برخ بکشند. اینهم ترس از برملا شدن ماهیت اصلی نیاکان آنهاست. نمونه آن سوء استفاده های تحمیقی و پوشاندن حقیقت استفاده از عنوان سید است. سید و سیده بودن را بمعنای اولاد پیغمبر بمردم تلقین کرده اند که اصولا چنین پدیده یا امری از نظر تاریخی امکان پذیر نیست و پوشاننده واقعیتی تلخ دیگری است. پس از حمله اعراب به ایران که ظاهرا برای گسترش اسلام و در واقع برای دستیابی به ثروت فراوان و نعمت بیکران و علم ایرانیان از راه ببردگی کشیدن زن و مرد ایرانی بود. از بگردن آویزان نمودن تابلو "عجم" بمعنای زبان نفهم و لال که نشانه کامل برده داری عرب مسلمان است تا تجاوز مکرر به زنان و دختران ایرانی که جزئی از تحقیرات غالب بر مغلوب است فرزندان بسیار متولد شدند و برای سرپوش گذاشتن بر این ذلت و خفت عمومی و ملی بود که نام سید و سیده به این کودکان داده میشد چون هیچیک پدر رسمی و شناخته شده نداشتند. سیدات و سادات ایرانی همان حرامزادگان و تفاله های باقیمانده استیلای عرب متجاوزند نه اولادان پیغمبری که ابتر بود. امروز در ایران ما حرامزادگی این بی پدران افتخاری برزگ برای عمامه سیاهان و جیره خواران مزدور است. احمد کسروی اولین کسی بود که پرده این حرامزادگان اسلام اجباری را بکنار زد و خود را " ناسید " نامید.
امروز آن دیوارهای اسطوره ای تقدس دروغین بدلیل جدا بودن ملایان از جامعه ، اشتباهات مکرر رهبران سیاه اندیش و قالب کردن فاجعه ها بعنوان برکات ، نه فقط فروریخته بلکه در تصور بسیاری راه را برای عبور به واقعیت و راستی و پاکدینی باز نموده است. التماس و التجا و بستن خواسته های فردی و چسباندن آن به ریش این و آن مقدسین هم پرده از اسطوره قرون سیاه اندیشی ملایان زیر پوشش مذهب را بکنار زده و برای بسیاری روشن نموده که مذهب فقط دکان بقدرت رسیدن و سوء استفاده ملایان و انصار آنها از سادگی مردم و غارت روحی و فکری آنهاست. برملا شدن نهاد فکری ملایان بود که شعار معروف " اشتباهات مرا بحساب مکتبم مگذار" را از قوطی تمام نشدنی شعارهای بی محتوای رژیم در آورد. امروز مسلم شده که ملایان از افکار و از کردار و از گفتار و حتی از گذشته سیاه خود میترسد و این ترس درونی و واقعی را با شکنجه واعدام و به سیاهچال انداختن و ترور و انتشار و بزرگ نمودن آن به سایر مردم منتقل میکنند. در جوامع پیشرفته سعی تام حکومتها بر این بوده که ترس را با معادل بزرگتر آن مغلوب و منکوب کنند. روانشناسان میدانند جامعه ترسو ، جامعه ای مرده و بازنده و مغلوب است. بهمین جهت دولتهای آزاد اساس سیاست خود را اطمینان دادن به مردم بر وجود امنیت دایمی میدانند. فراموش نکنیم که در سالهای اخیر و بر اساس داکترین نئوکانها در آمریکا و بعضی کشورهای اروپایی ، با سوءاستفاده از دین و ترس از خدا و ایجاد اضطراب عمومی بر جوامع حاکمیت سیاسی میکنند.
وحشت عمیق و ذاتی ملایان مانند خوره ، درون فاسدشان را نابود کرده ولی هنوز هم برای حفظ ظاهر و زردی چهره زشت خود آنرا با خون ایرانیان پوشانده و قرمز نشان میدهند. این سرنوشت حتمی رژیمی منفور است که فقط با سیاست " مقاومت منفی عمومی و نفی کامل رژیم " میتوان به زباله دان تاریخ سقوط داد.

NEW YORK -- To be perfectly honest, the Islamic Repulic of Iran has an "inalienable right" to acquire nuclear weapons like an unrepentant, convicted and paroled lifetime pedophile has an inalienable right to Viagra.
Today, it appears that the delusional IRI fanatics are brazenly testing the limits of tolerance and inaction of the seemingly feeble Western liberal democracies with their lust to acquire nuclear weapons. With fond recollection of the wartime glories of their massive human-wave martyrdom, they appear quite capable of dragging the entire meek and incapacitated nation to an apocalyptic come-what-may showdown.
However, in the somber new moral calculus formulated by awakened and hardened proactive conservatism in the post-9/11 West, such adventurism can lead to incalculably dire consequences.
One of the lessons of the Islamic revolution in Iran was that 50 years of secular progress did not change the nature of our people.
An analogous argument might be stated for the peoples of present day Western liberal democracies who only 60 years ago unleashed immeasurable, no-hold-barred horrific death and destruction on each other before settling in their cherished but fragile freedom and humane stability of the present day.
For the Western world, the precarious context of the IRI's most alarming adventurism, is the (perhaps exaggerated) threat of Islamofascism in their own midst and in their own lands. With their existential fear of a ticking cultural and demographic bomb, ironically imported and subsidized by their own naïve multiculturalism, one can only speculate what bellicose sentiments could be percolating through the collective minds of the far more powerful peoples of the West. the rest of it.In the face of all this, it is impossible not to sense the heightened fatalism and withdrawal of Iranian people about their dangerously imminent collision with the rest of the world.
Fatalism, amnesia, insincerity and hypocrisy are all hallmarks of traditional Iranian-Shiite culture. For us Iranians the formality of a make-believe ordinary life, however low and diminished, must go on until it is no longer possible. And then, no one knows better, no one saw the end coming and all blame, and ironically all hope, is directed at outsiders...
Now that Iran's violent and crazed quest for identity has finally proven a disastrous failure and has led it to its most isolated, checkmated, indefensible and inexcusable present state of looking into the abyss, the nation appears to be finally facing up to the long overdue reflection for what may be wrong within its own soul. Let's hope that it is not too late to discover gravity...
Having had the privilege to grow up in our ill society, and subsequently the luck to spend half a lifetime to informedly and independently reflect on it from outside, I have a few hopes and insights as to what this soul searching might yield. Figuratively speaking, steadfast Muslims eat their young in the name of god. The gist of Islamic upbringing is about whipping the young to conform and bow to their loser parents, so that every generation is as degenerate as the previous.
The advantage of this discipline is that the faithful are never humiliated, as it is not expected of them to rise to any real challenge, except maybe through jihad and ultimately martyrdom. In turn, the advantage of Jihad is that it fills the place of meaning in life and is cause for unity. Finally the advantage of martyrdom is that one does not survive to get a chance and question the hypocrisy and futility of their lost existence.
Needless to say, no form of progress or achievement ever figures in this degenerative cycle of mediocrity and death wish where the sole purpose of education is indoctrination of faith. To bluntly summarize life under this discipline, one is physically, emotionally and mentally circumcised, veiled, mourned and terrorized from childhood onwards in order to submit to a life of suppressed longings, self-loathing and inconsequence, in return for the lifetime approval of an elder generation of dimwitted losers.
Countless taboos, combined with an elaborate, juicy pornography of sadistic punishments (such as public lashing, stoning, mutilation and execution) are devised to make sure anyone otherwise destined to rise above the commonest admissible form of life becomes the subject of sick psychosexual entertainment for the masses. Anyone still surprised where the crazed want-to-be martyrs and necrophilic suicide/genocide bombers come from?
The uniqueness of us Iranians is that somehow in our collective subconscious, we are aware of the fact that this vile discipline was forced upon us by primitive Arab conquerors in the Middle Ages and even though we, in our own way, did not wholeheartedly buy into it, we nonetheless adopted it with signature docility and have lived with it until today.
That is the essence of the extraordinary self-loathing that paralyzes the Iranian mind and saps our self-esteem and confidence. We, the people who outrage at any hint of being subject, pray (five times a day!) and put faith in a book written in the tongue of our low, despicable conquerors!
For analogy's sake, if Iran were a man, he would be a transsexual, hysterically crying rape and violently ranting at the world over the injustice of his self-mutilated manhood and forgone mojo in the same breath.
To seal our destiny, during the Islamic revolution, we Iranians destroyed or diminished with violent passion and enthusiasm, every symbol, option and institution of rationalism and independent national identity, such as a constitutional monarchy, a patriotic military, a budding modenity and a new national self-esteem derived from our glorious ancient mythology and history.
Instead we invented enemies, demonizing the more rational, prosperous and far more powerful non-Muslim world which has had little to do with our present day moral bankruptcy and impotence.
At this juncture it appears that there is no recourse, no solutions and no ideas from within and once again our fate might have to be dictated with deadly force from outside.

It is mentioned that Imam Sadegh, one of the twelve holy figures in Shia after the Prophet, stated, “Whenever the prophet wanted to marry a woman, he would send someone to see her. He would tell them, ’smell her neck, because if that smells good, she would smell good and look at her ankle, because if that is fat, she would have a fat vagina‘.
This is not a joke made by infidels. This, in fact, is a quote form a holy figure in Shia mentioned in the book “The Couple’s Sexual Relatiosheeps, basis of Islamic View [the exact title of the book as mentioned on its back cover]”. A quick search shows that this book is in fact indexed in many Iranian Islamic institutions, including a major Islamic university. Here, a few other of the quotes mentioned in the book are translated into English. All these quotes are extracted from the Shia literature.

"Ummah.com: Is It OK to Kill Children and Rape Women?"
This lovely tradition started from the very beginning of Islam. The most (in)famous incident* is the slaughtering of all the men of a Jewish tribe while their women and children were taken as slaves. This all happened under the direct command of the peaceful prophet Muhammad.
Note that Islam allows a man to have four wives and an unlimited number of sex slaves -- a "tradition" that survives to this day.

...Frequent visitors to Iran, the two had never been molested before. Both belong to groups opposed to regime change in Iran and critical of the Bush policy of challenging the Islamic Republic.
Esfandiari works for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars - whose director, ex-Rep. Lee Hamilton, has championed normalization with the Islamic Republic for decades. He was a key member of the Iraq Study Group, which urged the opening of a dialogue with Tehran practically on terms demanded by the mullahs.
And Hamilton built his position partly on Esfandiari's advice. The Woodrow Wilson Center has organized numerous workshops on Iran, but seldom invited regime opponents. Its guiding principle was that the Islamic Republic is what most Iranians want, and that America should help the "moderate faction" in Tehran.
Esfandiari's writings on Iran over three decades could be described as sympathetic to the Islamic revolution, although critical of some regime policies, especially on women's issues.
Soros, meanwhile, is an open opponent of Bush's policy on Iran. He has met a number of "moderate Khomeinists," indicating support for their faction. In 2004, he poured $15 million into support for Sen. John Kerry's presidential hopes. Soros would be the last person to want to overthrow the mullahs and hand Bush his biggest victory.
Both Esfandiari and Tajbakhsh have always denounced the anti-mullah opposition as nostalgia-stricken monarchists, residual leftists or worse. Both always refused to grant interviews to Iranian-opposition TV and radio shows beamed from Los Angeles, or to even the U.S.-funded Voice of America. Whatever the two were up to, they did not go to Iran to help liberate it from the Khomeinists.
Some have tried to pin the arrests on feuds within the regime. In this analysis, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his radical faction feared that the two Americans were looking to help the "moderate faction" (led by ex-President Hashemi Rafsanjani) make a comeback in next year's general election.
Yet Esfandiari hasn't lived in Iran for more than 32 years; she hardly knows enough people to create a "network" for any conspiracy. Similarly, Tajbakhsh hasn't lived in Iran since his teens.
In fact, the two were easy prey for a predatory regime that, unsure of the popular mood, increasingly fears its own shadow. Their illegal arrest and inhuman treatment is part of a broader campaign by the radical revolutionary faction to terrorize its enemies inside Iran and confuse adversaries abroad.
* In recent weeks, some 150,000 women and young men have been arrested, fined, beaten up or kept in prison for days on charges of contravening the Islamic Dress Code enacted last May.
* A massive purge of the universities is under way, with thousands of students, teachers and faculty deans shown the door for allegedly "un-Islamic" sentiments. Over 400 students and teachers are reportedly held in various parts of the country without being charged.
* A state of emergency has been declared in parts of four western provinces, where ethnic minorities live, and in parts of the southeast bordering Pakistan.
* At least 30 trade unionists have been arrested and one of Iran's best-known labor leaders, Mansour Osanloo, abducted by agents of the regime. A news agency covering labor in Iran has been shut down and its assets seized.
* Dozens of newspapers and magazines have been shut and the black list of authors and books has been extended to include hundreds more names and titles.
* Several prominent figures of the rival faction, including a brother of ex-President Muhammad Khatami, face show trials on charges resembling those against Tajbakhsh and Esfandiari.
* Ahmadinejad's faction has also launched a campaign of blackmail against Rafsanjani and his entourage, including Khatami, by threatening to publish details of their alleged corruption and misuse of public funds between 1989 and 2005.
When Tajbakhsh and Esfandiari traveled to Iran a few months ago, they may have believed it would be just another visit to their former homeland. They didn't appreciate the fact that Ahmadinejad means what he says: His "second revolution" is preparing for war against the Iranian middle classes at home and the Western democracies abroad.
The episode underscores two facts: First, no dialogue is possible with a regime that demands nothing short of total submission at home and abroad. Second, the regime feels weak enough to fear a "velvet revolution" led by women, workers, students and, ultimately, even the more moderate clergy. Hmm . . . maybe someone will try it, even though the two captive Americans did not.

She said the 20 additional executions were for such things as “rape, insulting religious sanctities and laws, and homosexuality.” Most executions in Iran are hangings, often in public and at the scenes of the alleged crimes.
We all saw the pictures and the film footage of the recent brutal Islamic police beatings of the Iranian youth on the Internet. The campaign to publicly beat the youth in the streets was solely aimed to instill fear and terror amongst the Iranian population.Read more!
The Islamic regime rattled even by the recent punitive sanctions expects more and more social unrest like the protests at petrol rationing. The regime's answer, as always to the country's social difficulties, is to contain people by creating sheer fear in them. Such was the audacity of the regime that it brought along state media's photographers to film and picture the inhumane scenes of their beatings, and in order to dampen the international reaction to the graphical pictures of its barbaric nature, they claimed these were common "criminals and thugs" who had made life like hell for the local residents.
Two of those beaten in these attacks were brothers Pouria and Pouya Fazlollahi. Not only they are not thugs but they are most decent and likeable youngsters you will come across. Pouya is a national Greco-Roman style wresting champion and Pourya played for the national Iranian indoor football team. The two were local sporting heroes in their working class neighbourhood and much liked by the residents.Yet they were targetted for the public beating campaign. Their crime was having been reported for spreading flyers in support of Reza Pahlavi. The residents who dared, protested as much as they could, but the beatings went ahead. Pouya's whereabouts is still unknown and Pourya was beaten up so badly that he was taken to hospital after several days of being held in a secret detention centre.
His friends and supporters created a near riot in the hospital and managed to help him escape from the hospital. Pourya headed straight for the borders.In the last four weeks or so, I have been nervously worried about organising Pourya's escape to safety. All the credit goes to my courageous friend, Afsaneh. This lioness who has suffered 8 years in the Islamic Republic prisons and lost her right eyesight as a result of continuous beatings to her head, volunteered to bring Pouya to safety through a perilous journey.
Yesterday they both safely completed their journey. Pourya's wrists still bear the marks left by the tight handcuffs they had put on him, but he is remarkably in high spirits, particularly after Reza Pahlavi personally called him last night and listened to his horrific plight.
The Iranian Judiciary acted very thoughtfully (cunningly) when they stoned him (and not both of them). Obviously, all the human rights and anti-execution organizations will start condemning it. However, their main energy will be concentrated on saving her. Then, the Judiciary can cancel the stoning of the lady and proudly say “See? We are not that bad! We listen to the international concerns, especially about women.” At the same time, they have sent a message to the *layers of the Iranian society who, for any reason, were looking forward to the stoning. The message would be, “We do not listen to anyone. We carry out God’s verdict.” To sum up, a man has been victimized by the power struggle. I do wish stoning is forgotten forever.
