Islamic Republic continues to kill Christians while Larry King interviews Ahamdinejad

The Islamic Republic's religious apartheid regime continues to hang Christians. This report is from a great blog, Internation Musings:

Hossein Soodmand converted from Islam to Christianity in 1960, when he was 13 years old.
Thirty years later, in 1990, he was hanged by the Iranian authorities for that decision.Today, Rashin Soodman the daughter of Hossein Soodman, living in London, fears that her brother, Ramtin, held in a prison cell in Mashad, Iran's holiest city, will face the same 'faith'.
He was arrested on August 21. He has not been charged but he is a Christian. And Rashin fears that, just as her father was the last man to be executed for apostasy in Iran, her brother may become one of the first to be killed under Iran's new law; "Islamic Penal Code", which would codify the death penalty for any male Iranian who leaves his Islamic faith. Women would get life imprisonment. The majority in favour of the new law was overwhelming: 196 votes for, with just seven against.
Today, only in Islam apostasy is punishable (It’s virtually impossible to find a Christian state which persecutes. Most of the countries which do persecute are Muslim–with a few Communist or former Communist states thrown in). And its punishable by death in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, Mauritania and the Comoros. In Qatar apostasy is a capital offense, but no executions have been reported for it.
Here the article.
Note: Many ex-Muslims in Great Britain have faced abuse, violence, and even murder at the hands of Muslims; one estimate suggests there are 200,000 apostates in Britain. There are similar reports of violent intimidation of those electing to reject Islam in other Western countries.Other examples of persecution of apostates converting to Christianity have been given by the Barnabas Fund from Kuwait, Sudan, Iran, Yemen, Pakistan, Egypt, and Bangladesh.

Hamas Admits That Its Fighters are Trained in Iran

If this is not Iran's proxy war against Israel, then I don't know what is??

The Palestinian group Hamas, blamed for last week’s massacre of eight students at a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem, has revealed that hundreds of its fighters have been trained in Iran. A senior commander interviewed by The Sunday Times said 300 of the group’s “best brains” had been secretly sent to Tehran. Half are still being trained by Revolutionary Guards. They are learning how to make explosives from everyday items and produce deadlier rockets.

"We are a World Power"--Ahmadinejad

"There are only a couple of countries that their pride doesn't let them to say that they have accepted the Nuclear Iran. The issue is a done deal and we have passed the atomic milestone (turning point) and have reached the shores of tranquility. Iran's nuclear file in the UN security council will be returned to the IAEA. They've (the U.S.) launched this useless campaign of going from one international bank to another and telling them to stop their relationship with the Iranian government...In the future, I will have good news about our nuclear progress"--President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

IRGC: "We will 'Punch' U.S.

APNEWS:

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards said they would not bow to pressure and threatened to "punch" the U.S., in their first response to Washington's plan to list them as a terrorist organization, newspapers reported Saturday.
Local press in the Iranian capital of Tehran quoted Revolutionary Guards leader Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi saying that he could understand Washington's ire toward the group because of their "leverage" against the U.S.
"America will receive a heavier punch from the guards in the future," he was quoted as saying in the conservative daily Kayhan. "We will never remain silent in the face of U.S. pressure and we will use our leverage against them."

There was no elaboration on what Safavi meant by the punch or the organization's "leverage."

Update: Supreme Leader of Iran says the US is stuck "in a Whirlpool":

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Sunday launched a new attack on the United States, saying Iran's arch-enemy was "stuck in a whirlpool," and would sink deeper in the future. "America is weaker compared to 20 years ago, and it does not have its previous power and grandeur," Khamenei said in a speech to participants in a religious conference, state television said. "America and its followers are stuck in a whirlpool, and they sink deeper as time passes. A dangerous future is predicted for them," he added.

Expect IR's retaliation against the U.S.

Given the IR's track record, the Islamic Republic will likely take retaliatory measures to even the score against the U.S. if it brands the IRGC as a terrorist group. Those measures could encompass intensifying proxy terrorist attacks in Iraq against U.S. forces or provoking another war with Israel via syria or Hizballah, or perhaps, more international hostage taking per usual since it has worked like a charm for the past 28 years. Here is IRGC's reaction to naming the guards as the foreign terrorist group:

Iran's Revolutionary Guards will grow in strength despite U.S. efforts to isolate the force, a Guards official said in remarks published on Thursday after Washington's threat to brand it a "terrorist" group.

Not only would the Revolutionary Guards not be isolated but rather it would actively continue its trend of growth with strength," the head of the political office of the Guards, named only as Javani, was quoted by the daily Jam-e Jam as saying.

"Americans have been fighting the Islamic system for 27 years and create plots against it. But the Revolutionary Guards have made defending the Islamic system its duty and will increase its capabilities in this regard day by day," he added.
